Instructors can’t manipulate metal objects like X-Men’s Magneto, but they can draw in a crowd and attract members. The Les Mills 2021 Global Fitness Report, found a great instructor makes a member 2.5x more likely to recommend a friend.
Like Marvel’s Carol Danvers, an instructor must be mentally and physically strong. They might need to lift, carry, and handle heavy fitness equipment and have the stamina to work through injuries.
Like DC’s Spider-Woman, instructors have the flexibility, quick reflexes, and balance of a wall-crawler as they quickly move around the room, providing individualised attention and corrections to participants.
With the endurance of Marvel’s Thor, instructors can lead long and intense workout sessions without fatigue several times a day, pushing their participant’s limits.
Like Marvel's Betsy Braddock, instructors can read people’s minds. Without asking, they know what their participants are feeling or struggling with, understanding their abilities, limits, and needs intuitively.
Marvel’s Kamala Khan can stretch and reshape her body in extraordinary ways. There are plenty of HIIT, Yoga and Pilates instructors who can shapeshift in similar ways.
Instructors possess Wolverine-style ability to recover from injuries or tiredness, or at least they can camouflage it at will!
Like Captain Atom or Wonder Woman, instructors can absorb energy and project it, but rather than photonic blasts, an instructor projects the energy to the rest of the participants in a magical feedback loop of energy.
Like DC’s Rip Hunter, instructors appear to bend time. They can make a workout so fun that time flies past or so brutal that time stands still.
Like Marvel’s Moon Knight has "photographic reflexes," allowing him to remember and mimic physical movements he's seen, an instructor absorbs and memorises complex choreography from videos and notes.
